Hi,
I have a pensotti furnace that was installed just 3 years ago. I had someone new clean it this year as last year the guy that did it obviously did not know what he was doing, setting it to run too rich causing it to smell like a diesel truck and clog to the point it failed. So, I had someone new come over to clean it yesterday and he found the bolts to the block to be stripped from cross-threading. I'm furious. The boiler is only half paid for, and the new mechanic said he was uneasy running a tap/die as it might just compromise the block and he didn't want to be responsible for it. Suggestions?
