But if I had to choose it would be the Bryant and upgrade to the best matching FV L model var speed air handler. Since this is HP, I assume a small heat strip, probably a 7 KW for emergency heat only. With the Bryant I would also strongly recommend the Bryant Edge Thermidistat which would be well worth it considering your location.

I personally would look at AmStd if you are really in harsh coastal environment.

Yes - coastal location. I was looking for MaStd but the installers they have in my area have horrible/ or no reviews at all. The above two installers have good reviews. Better to have a good installer, right?
So I guess I should just upgrade to a mid range Bryant them?
