Three Zone Furnace Operation

Hi all,

We recently purchased a home with the zones/thermostats and I want to make sue that I am operating the system in a efficient manner.

The home is two stories with a finished basement. Each floor has its own non-programmable thermostat.

Right now I have only the main floor 'on' and set at 69. The upstairs is at 68, and the downstairs is probably 65-67.

Would I be better off setting the two above ground floors at 69, or is using the main floor to heat upstairs acceptable (like we did in our previous home).

I am considering a programmable thermostat as we both work during the day, but I don't want to but 3 of them.

Tips, advice, insight would be helpful. I cannot read the manual because none was left behind.

Thanks,
