Copper corrosion problem: evaporator coil

Florida-kame

Hi, all,

Will you help me to find out our problem about a corrosion on copper parts of evaporator coil?

I have a Trane evaporator - model number: 2TEC3F42A 1000AA.
Recently, my AC stopped working, because the water pan was over flowing - thanks to Water Gard.

After opening the unit panels, I found that the copper parts of the evaporator coil have corrosions (please see attached images).

Here are my questions:
Is this corrosion "normal"?
Is there something I can do to stop this corrosion?
Did this occur because of a leakage?
Does anybody think we have Chinese dry walls?

This machine is 7 years old at central-east Florida. The condenser unit locates inside of our house between the living room and nook.

Thank you very much for your comments and advices in advance!
