I have a OWB thermoflo boiler. I know its a cold start boiler but its not operating as such. Is that something I can fix w aquastat temp settings? should I?

Also how does adding an outdoor reset effect a cold start boiler if set up as such?

I have cast Iron baseboard if that matters.

RE: cold start boiler settings

Only professionals should attempt to modify factory specified control systems for residential boilers. Outdoor reset (ODR) ,weather sensitive controls, will nearly always make you more comfortable and save fuel at once. Again, for professionals only. ODR will usually require a change in a boiler's near piping to protect the boiler from low return water temperatures.
