Pardon what may seem like a dumb question but I'm very curious about this. I just purchased an Infrared Quartz Heater that has an adjustable temperature up to 90 degrees. As you set the temperature to a higher setting, do the Heating Elements actually get hotter causing the blower to put out hotter air or is it that the Heating Elements remain at a constant level as the unit simply runs longer?

What model from what manufacturer? Most just use a thermostat that shuts off at the set point. Actual adjustment of the output power is more expensive. The units with 'level' settings often switch the elements from in series (lower output) to in parallel (higher output).

It's a new model #6101 from Lasko.

Most of them just cycle on and off as necessary to maintain the set temperature.
