Mounting a TV above a firepleace is not a good idea for two reasons. First the heat coming from fireplace may cause the TV to not work properly. Second the TV is too high and too far away for comfortable viewing.

I am not the best for fishing wires through walls, bit I will give you my ideas.

If you have a basement it would be easier to bring power from underneath. If you don't then you will have to make exit and entry holes in walls to pass the wire. I have seen 6 foot long flexible drill bits in Home Depot which electricians use to drill through studs in the wall. Even the best electricians have to make some holes in the wall.

If the fireplace has a brick chimney then you are not going to be able to put in a recessed power outlet box. Your best strategy would be to install a wall mounted box and hide the wire a wiring cover that blends with the color of the brick.

If you are using an HDMI cable then try to keep it to less than 25 feet.
