Update HVAC Oil heat limited $$

We will be updating our HVAC system. Oil is the only source on my block. I currently have baseboards (hot water). I want to add central air and update heating system. The heating system is 20yrs old. We are replacing kitchen tile floors with hardwood. Do chill chasers help?? I wanted to add radiant flooring but you can't with hardwood. Any suggestions???

Oil is never the only source. You need to post your electric rates to help answer the question. You might share what you spend on oil each year. And the real question is what are you geothermal options?

Keep the baseboard and install mini splits if you have limited need for AC. Even if you have extensive need for AC, mini splits should be investigated.

In addition to electric rates, where do you live. (What is the climate.)
