If you are sized correctly and intend to be in the home for many years, I would go with the Infinity furnace system. You will get better dehumidification in AC cooling with the var speed blower over the second option. What about a pleated filter media cabinet for air filtration along with protection of blower motor and evap coil. I would like to see evap coil model number to verify matching components of the system. I assume ductwork has been looked at and you have adequate return on both levels. Any hot/cold spots?

What size and eff system both furnace and AC are you replacing?

The prices are fair if they include a Carrier coil, 4 inch media filter, and the Carrier 10 year labor warranty.

In my opinion it is worth paying the extra $600 for the variable speed furnace if you are getting a 2-stage condenser. This will give you the best set up for humidity control.

Our current furnace is 100k BTU at 80% efficiency, while our current AC is a 3-ton unit at 13 SEER.

The evaporator coil for both quotes is CNPVP.

What is exact Mdl number of evap coil? Be specific if you want the matching AHRI performance/eff numbers.
