| Complete HVAC rookie here. Got initial specs on HVAC system for 4000 sq ft above ground home (and 1000 sq ft basement) in DC area; any comments or suggestions are appreciated. No specific model# yet (I am working on it) and I meet with the HVAC installer next week.

| It this is a two story home your GC should be recommending HVAC systems for each floor. A 18.5 SEER system is wasteful for the DC area. A 15-16 SEER system is fine. |
