forced air heat in mpls multilevel house. 1975 vintage. 2400sq/ft. no doors between levels so temp is very uneven on different levels. i need an all new system. natural gas furnace. high efficiency of course. does that mean multistage burner and VS fan? or is there a VS burner/VS fan unit out there?

Look at York high eff 97% modulating furnace. Ductwork needs a thorough inspection but multi levels are notorious to heat and cool off one system without zoning controls. IMO

i meant to say i need a new furnace and central air. i think the ducts are fine. lowest level is finished but never used. bedrooms are on highest level and feel fine during winter.
