| My Rheem Central a/c stopped working. The compressor and condenser fan wouldn't come on. The air handler fan worked. After bypassing thermostat, and determined it was ok, I went outside to the condensing unit. As soon as I started to loosen a screw, to remove the cover, it started up!
I checked all connections inside, and they seemed ok. I suspect the contactor might be bad, but not sure. Any suggestions? |

| It could also be a bad capacitor. If you have never fixed a condenser then it would be best to call in a qualified HVAC tech. |
