Furnace in Attic for 2nd Floor

I recently purchased a 1900s victorian house that used to have steam heat. The previous owners converted to forced air on the first floor and put electric radiant heat panels on the walls of the upstairs bedrooms.

I'm redoing all of the bedrooms and am looking at putting a forced air 80% furnace in the attic. Registers would drop into the ceilings of each bedroom (4) and a cold air return in the central hallway.

I live in WI , so heating is a big concern. I have a 96% Carrier Infinity furnace in the basement to supply the first floor heat. The downstairs furnace is working off a 20yr old AC unit for cooling.

I've got a few questions. Since my furnace I'm putting in the attic shouldn't be heating much (heat rising from first floor) would it make sense to install a Heat Pump to be used for heating/cooling or a traditional AC unit for cooling?

Could I install a large HP to supply both furnaces?

Anyone install an attic furnace for second floor only? Any comments/issues?
