Hi everyone,
We are building a tight building--r30 walls & r 50 ceiling. B/c it is a sport court, we also need to control humidity. For these reasons, we are considering adding an HRV. A geothermal contractor told me this morning that an HRV takes my system from a 3 ton system to a 5 ton system. I have quotes from 2 other contractors that did not mention that HRV would change the size of my system. Does that sound right?
