I believe Carrier owns Climate Master; they may be very similar to say the least. I finding it difficult to find info on the specific models you posted. Would you post links to these units?

A lot goes into designing a geothermal system beyond make and model of a heat pump. What other information has been provided with particulars regarding the ground loop design? Has a proper âÂÂManual Jâ load calculation been performed?

What accreditations do these installers have?

The model numbers were listed on the paperwork that they gave me.

Option 2 states dig 24"-39" wide trench from wall of house to end of trench, install ground loop manifold, heat fuse 3 polyethylene loops to header, run loop pipes to end of trench and return, reverse run the loop pipes stapled to the side of the trench, connect the return loop pipe and manifold, seal water tight.

I am assuming most of it is standard and not a specific design to my lot.

The quote was given based off of our blueprints, so I don't know if a manual j load has been performed.

As requested, post links to these heat pumps, letâÂÂs see the details of these HPs on the web. I can find precious little even though both brands are well known. Not a good sign!

DonâÂÂt assume anything with geothermal. Everything should be spelled out in detail. Have either the architect or installers preformed a Manual J calculation?

What credentials and references have the installer s provided?
