I am building a paver patio and need to do something about my condenser unit. The unit is just sitting on a plastic pad right on the dirt. I have dug around it to prep for the paver install and need to install a proper base. My strong desire is to not have to pay to have the unit disconnected/reconnected. I was hoping that I would have enough slack in the lines and electrical to suspend it an inch or so and then remove the dirt and plastic pad from underneath it, build a form, pack gravel the best I can with the limited space, then pour concrete. Once the concrete has set, drop the unit back down an inch and be done with it. Then I could install the pavers around the concrete pad. Anyone think this will work? I would really appreciate some input!
