heating small room over garage

Have a room about 700 sq ft over the garage. Have window A/C that keeps it nice n cool but last winter my son about froze. When the temp was in the teens, the fake fireplace electric heater didn't do the trick. What do I need? I've seen infared, elec baseboard, etc. What size?

Does your house have gas? Wall heaters work well.

Otherwise, I'd think of getting something called a PTAC, it's what you find in motel rooms. Combo heat and A/C with a good blower.

Either way, you may also need to think about improving the air tightness and insulation of the garage ceiling.
