was at friends condo the other day. central air was running and working well. 80F ext and 76F interior. i felt small copper high pressure line leading into plenum and it was almost room temp. i could really feel no heat. the plenum duct was cold on the exhaust. was the mild temp of the hp line due to the minimal demands on system?

RE: a/c line temp

At the point you felt the line, that sounds normal. If you were to feel the line as it leaves the compressor going into the condenser coil, it would be hot.
