Evaluating Needs for Replacement AC

We live in Delaware in a 3800 sq ft 2 story home about 12 years old. We are the second owner. We have (contractor grade) 2 heat pumps and a gas furnace - Bryant Plus 90. Inside we have 2 zones upstairs and 2 zones down. We rarely use the upstairs since the kids are away..

The downstairs heat pump was leaking r22 refrigerant in several places and our HVAC people said it was time for a replacement. So far the upstairs unit and the furnace have given us no major problems. I have our systems on a maintenance agreement.

We know we need to go to the more efficient R410 refrigerant. Proposals from one company range from replacing the Heat Pump with a York M/YHJ upflow coil ( $ 5600) replacing the furnace and HP with a York Affinity Modulating Gas Furnace & 2 stage heat pump for dual fuel. ($12,475).

Another company recommends Bryant Legacy 13AC ($5510) to replace the AC on the low end and Evolution Model 187B 2 stage AC ($13,500) on the high end. If we replace the furnace, they recommend a Bryant Evolution Extreme Variable Speed compressor with a Bryant Evolution Modulating gas ($16,842).

Thankfully we have the money for any of these options. I want to do the right thing with money, be fuel efficient, but not overkill or underserve our needs. We plan to keep this house 20+ years.
Thanks for any input!
