I am confused as to how the American Standard Comfort R dehumidification works and if I need a thermostat that specifically supports dehumidification control? From what I have read it looks like only the honeywell Prestige 2.0 controls dehumidification while the honeywell 9000 does not do anything with dehumidification (but does display the humidity level in the house).
From what I understand, if you have the appropriate thermostat, the comfort R system along with the variable speed fan and AC unit, will run at a lesser speed allowing the house to dehumidify, but not dropping the temperature much. This is exactly what I want, but not sure which thermostat will accomplish this.
