We just started this process..thoughts on the following quote. Our home is 1980 2story 2700sf ft., all with original furnaces and AC likely 15+years old. We have a leak someone in the upstairs unit, which probably is not worth repairing, that said we are looking to do this one time since all of it will need to be replaced in the short term.

Replacing exiting Trane 2 AC and heating units replaced including installing attic pull down stairs &getting all town permits/paperwork.

After cash rebates/tax credits total is 25K. For those experience in this industry, thoughts on quote? Albeit the model #s might not be exact but best I could tell from quote. Our next vendors sells Lennox. Out requirements among the costs/efficiency/ reputation is the noise of the units so thoughts on noise level on units.
