We have a 2.5 story, 2500 sq.ft condo unit in NJ, our original ac unit has been acting up over the last couple of years (air is blowing out but not cold air) and now it seems like it's time to change the whole unit. We've had a company come out and was given an estimate of $8400 for the following

I was told that the new ac is not compatible w/ my current furnace and thus the new furnace, coil, thermo. And no more freon, instead it will be with preon. Would anyone be able to tell me if this quote sounds feasible? Thank you.
