Putty for A/C line going into house.

Where do it get this flexible putty stuff that is used around a/c lines going into the house.

I stopped at Lowes and, gulp, asked some guy stocking shelves sort of near the plumbing area. Bad move. Clearly had no clue. May not have even known that a/c lines go into the house.

Where do I find it and what is it called specifically?

    Thumb Gum..really thats the name.
blue & white box, should be by caulking or
    plumbing. its a rope caulking.
great for sealing around plumbing penetrations.

if box stores don't have it...hvac of plumbing supply.

    foam shrinks.

    best of luck

I bought this "putty" recently at Home Depot. It is called Duct Seal by Gardner Bender. Comes in a 6" x 2" block. SKU# 593567.
