Are you talking about the condenser coil or the evaporator coil?

I don't understand why this HVAC dealer is making a big deal about how easy it is to clean the condenser coils. You would hose them down regardless of the design. It sounds like an excuse not to sell you a Trane product.

I checked my XLi condenser the other day...8 yrs old...no problem...

When cutting grass, bag it so clippings/leaves don't get directed toward the condenser. About all one can do....

Agree with Mike, sounds like some sales nonsense...

The condensers will be going right next to the front doors, one on each side of the stoop. (An unfortunate but unavoidable decision imposed by local zoning ordinance.) I will want to screen them visually - is it OK to put lattice screaning and/or shrubs or will that interfere with air flow? I won't plant grass right up to them because it wouldn't provide any screening.
