| One floor house over crawlspace. Original system has downflow furnace in a closet, supply ducts in crawlspace, returns in attic. That closet is going to at least move, and my wife would like it for pantry, as part of a large remodel.
It seems that HVAC guys want to run all ducts in the attic, and put the furnace there. Is that just for their ease of installation, or are there good reasons for that? Also, it seems that they want to run pretty much 100% flex, which is of course cheapest and easiest. Is that considered a quality install? |
