We're replacing a 30 year old furnace, and adding central a/c while we're at it. I've identified 3 or 4 very reputable companies in my area, and have received 2 quotes so far for Lennox systems. Cost is definitely an issue for us, so we've received quotes for Lennox's 14 ACX condensing unit and the 2 Stage EL280 furnace. We have another company coming out this week who works with Trane a/c systems, and am wondering what their equivalent is. I'm guessing that the Trane will be a bit more expensive than the Lennox.

If anyone reading this has installed a Lennox system in the last couple of years or the comparable Trane and has any opinions they'd like to share, I'd love to hear them.
