I assume you are still looking at AC with strip heat?

what's the price difference?

what are you looking for?

good humidity control?

operating cost? ie best SEER and EER efficiency?

sgl stage or two stg condenser?

var speed air handler, conventional, or high efficient?

lots to consider isn't it?

RE: Carrier Infinity

Yup electric heat I just found out about the XR15 2 stage condenser so I asked for a price on that to compare. The infinity is 2 stage condenser with variable speed air handler with infinity control. Price is 3000 more than the single stage XR15.

RE: Carrier Infinity

depending on how the XR15 is speced out, 3K difference is not worth it.

I would consider the 2 stg XR15 with TAM7 VS air handler.

I want the heat strip staged. You might consider a good 4-5" pleated filter media cabinet, new lineset, and of course a quality digital thermostat like HW mdl 8321.

RE: Carrier Infinity

Dealer has no pricing on the the TAM7 yet.. Said its in the mail from his dist.. Oh well.. Guess I'll wait around..

RE: Carrier Infinity

XR15 2 stage with TZONE 950 and TAM7 air Handler is 8276.42

Carrier infinity System is 9,390.00 tax included Infinity control
