Replacement Cost

I was quoted 4800 including new duct work. After researching I found out that they were offering me a system thats on the lower end of Lennox line up. It's the Lennox 14acx and the furnace m1180 4 ton 14 seer. I ask for the xc13 and price went up to 6400 what do guys recommend? I live in houston.

Look for another dealer.

That is a low end condenser and low end furnace.

Upgrade cost on the condenser and matching evap coil should be in the $500 range.

I personally think you may be a victim of bait and switch, not an honest mistake.

Do a search on this forum to see what prices others have paid for the Lennox xc13. You will need adjust the price for different sizes and the fact you are getting some duct work.
