Cost of Infinity carrier install

Hi,
Originally had planned to install high velocity air in my home ; we have forced hot water baseboard heat. But now , for reasons of installation problems, have decided to install regular central air , Carrier Infinity 17. The ducting is straightforward, straight down from attic to bedrooms and from attic through closets to first floor , with no bends . The house is 1800 sq.ft. The price we were given was way more than anticipated, 14,000. Is this way off or have we been dreaming ?

What is location?

What fuel is used for hot water baseboard heat?

Price includes new ductwork?

3 ton system? What model air handler? Infinity control included?

The system quoted is three ton, I believe. Baseboard is gas backed hot water, so no ducts in house . Price includes ducts , but as I stated, ducting is straightforward, not complicated..we are located outside of Boston.

Ps, yes, I believe I asked and was told that the unit specifies their own control, not sure about the handler, but I guess it will be one that goes with that particular unit. They originally quoted a FX4DNF037 coil with the 24ABB336 unit, but we asked for a newer more efficient model . This original quote was for this 24ABB336 unit, which we felt was pretty high, having talked with neighbors, etc.
