Are you talking about thin pads? Resin reinforced synthetic paper will last the longest and will weather and stand up to acid cleaning well. The shredded wood, which is old style and is (really) obsolete, will be the messiest. They say it's durable, but it will litter your cooler like nothing else. Even if you bleed off water to reduce mineral and salt build up, none of those pads will last but a couple of years.

If you are talking about thick pads, there's only the honeycomb.

Same story at Lowe's.Each of the three types of cooler pads has a label which say, 'I am the best at cooling'. One has a graph showing it is the best. Another has best at cooling in big letters. The third has best in fine print, looks like an after thought.
