Are Bryant and Carrier really the same?

I have chosen the type of hvac I want and thought i was ready to choose between Carrier and Amana. Amana is in the running due to price and I'll get a 10 year warranty that covers parts and labor.

I just read that Bryant is made by Carrier and is cheaper. Is that true? If Amana is about 20-25 % less than Carrier is it reasonable to assume Bryant is about 10% less than Carrier? There is a Bryant dealer I can call. I think I'd be more comfortable with Carrier equip, but I would risk Amana for the savings. (same installer). Bryant seems like it might be a good compromise. Should I get one more estimate? Should I tell him exactly what Carrier I have quotes for so I can compare directly and save him some time?

I just want to decide already! Thanks

Bryant and Carrier equipment are the same. Carrier may offer an extra high end model which Bryant does not.

The Bryant dealer should be able to quote you the equivalent Carrier model.
