replacement drain pan float switch - help needed

kas4

I have an A/C unit in the attic with a full drain pan underneath. Builder installed a float cutoff switch in the drain pan 8 years ago. Had someone out for A/C tune-up and he told me that the float on this type of switch hardens over time and will no longer float if the drain pan fills with water. He recommended replacing the switch with one that has a rubber float. I called a few electrical supply houses and searched online but could not find what he was talking about. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
