| Our coil in our Carrier (model# FB4ANF042) air handler has a leak. My question is, can the coil inside the unit be replaced? If so, where can I find the part number and where can I purchase a replacement?
Thank you |

| zooming I do not know part number. unless you are a dealer, it may be difficult for you to purchase the part/coil yourself. However it should be available. I would contact a Carrier/Bryant dealer. how old is air handler? out of warranty? if out of warranty, you would be looking at an expensive repair which might not be cost effective. IMO |

| Thank you for the reply. The Air Handler is 8 years old and out of warranty. I'm guessing it will be expensive to purchase a new coil from Carrier. I should start thinking about replacing the entire Air Handler. The compressor (Carrier 3602E19235) is also 8 years old and hasn't given us any problems. Should I consider replacing both units? |

| Eight years is not old for a condenser and air handler. I have read Carrier had problems with leaking coils in the past. The new coil design has been changed to address the issue. Get a quote to see how much a coil replacement will cost. It may be a viable option. |
