Both air handlers are AHRI HP Directory matches.

However, the 42 would have been my choice due to the better performance/efficiency numbers. See below.

What thermostat was installed?

Pro1 model T925 thermostat.Was not given the option on the 42.Not sure what the price difference would have been but probably would have paid the difference.He may have wanted to be competetive I guess.

The price difference between the two sizes would have been inconsequential. You have a nice system.

What size heat strip? 10 KW? If more and depending on location, it should be staged.
