Hi, first, thank for everybody in the forum where I got so much information.

I have a 18 year old system, which needs to be replaced. Furnace is working fine. I got some quotes but need some help to make a decision. (All based on 3 ton unit)

Option A: Carrier Comfort/Base Series 13 seers with matching coil, roughly 3800-3900.

Option B: American Standard Gold Series Allegiance 13, similar pricing as A

Option C: Lennox, XC13, above 4500.

All said to reuse existing line set with flusing. All with 10 year parts/compressor warranty.

I heard Trane/American Standard has inferior aluminum coil which last not as long as copper ones in other brands, is that true?

Thanks in advance.

- Fred
