5 yr labor vs 2 yrs labor, how much does it worth?

Two contractors proposed the same Lennox heat pump system with a few hundred dollar difference. (Sorry, tigerdunes and ryanhughes, we didn't check on trans or Am Std. My "boss" wants to deal with 2 companies, and both of them suggested Lennox.)

Both have 10 yrs warranty on parts. The slightly more expensive one offers a 5 yrs labor warranty, the other offers 2 yrs.

Does the extra 3 yrs labor warranty actually mean anything? I know for some electronics, once they pass the "break-in" period, they will stay reliable for a long time until aging catches up. Does this apply to heat pumps?
