House is 25 years old, 1700 sq ft with T1-11 auracoply with vinyl siding, 12 single pane windows, Tempstar CA1024VKA1 2-ton system in central North Carolina. My furnace is an up flow Hi-Boy gas furnace (which I will keep for now). I received quotes for a 2.5 ton Trane XR13 & XB13. I am replacing the AC condenser unit & cooling coil, My ductwork is Goodman & is in good shape, No zoning system. I was quoted a Trane XR13 4TTR3030D1000A & coil 4TXCB031BC3HCA w 10 yr extended warranty condensing unit & evaporator coil for $4,415.97 & a quote for Trane XB13 4TTB3030E1000A & 4TXCB031BC3HCA coil for $4,191.82 w same 10 yr extended warranty. Due to space limitations I won't itemize items included unless it would help analysis. Having a hard time deciding on either unit. Please advise. Thanks.
