Frigidaire Window Unit 15,000 BTU not cooling

My husband drilled a drain hole in our AC and hit a copper line. AC guy (friend) came out and solder the hole with 15% solder. He also installed a Schrader valve. He vaccumed the line and filled it with 23.8 oz?.. not sure of the amount, but he said it was what unit required. We have been running unit all day to test it. The air comes out ice cold only for a short time. The compressor is staying on. We have it on 65 degree's and my house is 80 inside with humidity level at 80% (we live in Houston TX). My wall thermometer up to the vent is registering the air blowing out at 70 degrees. There is NO water dripping from the outside like it normally does. Can someone help let us know what the problem is? THANKS SO MUCH! ((hUGS))
