The FREON should never leak out. There's no sense in refilling it, without fixing the leak.

They need to come back with a leak detector and fix the leak.

So is that freon leaking in the photos that I posted or water? I didn't touch or smell it for safety reasons. Thanks for your help.

That is just water sweating off of the cold uninsulated lines. It's going to take more than an apartment maintenance man to solve the problem if it keeps running low. Soapy water around the rusty areas and all connections might show the leak if there is enough pressure in the system, but who knows, the leak could be indoors. I'm guessing that was a burnt compressor prior with driers on both lines.

Its condensate water. If that rear system is yours you might want to get the kink in the suction line taken care of!

No leak, but the suction filter should have been removed after a few days after installation. You're going to burn up your compressor.
