240V Portable AC Unit

Hi Everyone, does anyone know of any portable AC units like those at Costco that can run off a 120V and 240V outlet?

I have a 240V single phase UK outlet on my generator, it's 60Hz but 240V line-neutral, exact same as the UK power.

An AC unit with this feature would be marked on the back like 120V/240V or something like that possibly with a switch near it to select either/or.

RE: 240V Portable AC Unit

I don't think anyone makes a 240V portable air conditioner unit. Even if they did, it would not be switchable between 120V and 240V. That a feature would be very expensive to include in the product.

There are window units which require 240V. These typically units larger than 10,000 BTU.

RE: 240V Portable AC Unit

Yes, there are portable AC units that run on 240 or 208/240. They are likely large and likely costly. Try adding "construction" to your search. You will have to sort through different chaff, but you will find them.
