Whole House Humidifier

Hello all,
our new home is under construction (we're in NJ). With the extreme cold we have had, I have ended up filling/cleaning humidifier 100s of times this winter and that is for our current 2 bedroom rental. I am guessing with a larger house this would get way out of hand.
I'm looking for options/opinion on whole house humidifiers which I can install in central HVAC.
I am fairly clueless about this so any initial guidance about what types of models exist and cost for such an installation would be very helpful.

If you have a well-sealed house, you may not need a humidifier. Air infiltration is what takes the moisture outside that is naturally generated from living. If I were building a home, I might make provisions for adding one later. There is probably not much to the making provisions if you have an unfinished basement with the furnace there. Go through a winter, or most of a winter and decide.
