It may work. You could try it and see if the temperature reading is correct. If you have to replace it you should still be able to use the current wires. Running the wires is the hard part. Swapping the sensor should be relatively easy.

Great, thanks. I was really just wondering what "model" to order; it seems the only differences in the models is what the come with. One model number includes the thermostat only, the other number the stat and the EIM, and one with stat, EIM, and outdoor sensor.
