I plan to have new Central Air/heating in my house. There will be Rheem funace 100BTU with 4 ton, Rhemm coil, Goodman condenser 15-16 Seer with 4 tons.
Do you have any opinion about these brand compare with Carrier or Train? How many percent efficency and reliable less compare with Carrier or Train? How about the noise compared to Carrier and Train?
If I move from Goodman or Rheem to Carrier or Train, it cost $2000 more. Would it be worth?

| Rheem is a good middle-tier brand, comarable to Janitrol, Carrier and Bryant. I always thought they had very solid equipment. Goodman used to make mediocre equipment but their quality has gone up over the years. |

| Goodman is #2 in manfacturing size. They are like Dell computer in manufacturing practices. They own several brands. Other brands are Janitrol and Amana. Carrier spends a lot of money on advertizing. It increases the cost of thier equal quality equipment. Why are you mixing Rheem with Goodman. When you install a new system, it is customary to use same brand for furnace and AC. If you want a Rheem furnace use the Rheem AC. Everything fits much easier. |
