update: condensate drain issue

Hi - I finally was able to get a tech to look at my condensing furnace which was having an ignition problem somehow related to a drainage problem. After pulling most everything out of the unit, and checking to make sure the drains were ok and the hoses were ok, etc., the only thing he could come up with was that maybe the inducing motor wasn't quite moving all of the water out of the unit and was possibly getting hot and causing a safety switch to stop ignition. he suggested: 1) replacing the motor and switches (around $1100) or replacing the unit entirely (it's about 13 years old). wondering if anybody had any thoughts on this, whether the price seems fair to replace the motor and if at this point if might be a good idea to replace the unit itself.
thanks for any help!
