Any reason you are heating with electric (heatpump) instead of gas? Why do you need 3 systems for 2 levels?

If you have nat gas available, why not use it?

9 tons of cooling for 5000 sq ft? Really?

Any load calcs offered for your review?

And as said from previous poster, why 3 systems?

Are you inland or coastal?

Comfortmaker not a brand I would want for quality new construction.

IMO

you should also look at higher SEER ratings
as cooling is your main season.

15-17 SEER range have good features
& good return on investment.

i am not sure why the builder asked the HVAC guys to go with electric system when I told my builder that we can use natural gas for HVAC.
Not sure why three systems and I did ask him for the manual j load calculation, which he said he will provide me.
We are inland, Tallahassee to be specific.
Any more suggestions or questions I should be asking my builder or HVAC guys. Please help.
