Hi,

I have an existing Bryant Evolution Plus 95 model gas furnace #355CAV060100 matched with coil model #CNPVP4324ATA.

I am planning to upgrade the 20 year old heatpump to a Bryant Evolution "Puron Plus" condensing unit model #186BNA036. (Heatpump functionality no longer required due to recent installation of gas furnace).

Currently system is driven by an el-cheapo Honeywell thermostat which appears not to be taking advantage of advanced Evolution functionality.

Is Bryant Evolution Connex the right thermostat for me or is it worth considering an alternate advanced thermostat such as the Ecobee? Primary goal is to ensure comfort in my home, but efficiency / cost is also a concern as Connex thermostat installed is quoted at a bit over $600.
