| I just switched to natural gas from oil. We had a new furnace put in and it was vented through the chimney. We now have two white pvc pipes about 2 foot long sticking out of our chimney and it looks hideous. Is this really necessary or is it possible to cut it down or something? |

| Sounds as though you had a high efficient furnace installed- that's the upside. The downside is, they used your chimney to run the intake and exhaust. They should have run them out a sidewall if possible. No. you can't cut them. Did they tell you what the plan was when you purchased? |
