Vintage gas pump for emergency fuel

I live on top of a long, steep driveway that is often impassable by oil trucks in a winter like the last two. I have a 330 gallon tank in the cellar, which is all that will fit. I would like to get a small tank to put outside the cellar, next to the driveway, for emergency fuel in case I run out. I would also like to use it for my diesel car in emergencies, as I've now had the harrowing experience of not being able to find that several times. Would it be possible to use a vintage gas tank for this purpose? That would at least be an ornamental feature. Has anyone done this? Is there a cheaper way to get one than ebay, where I see them going for $3-4,000? All I want to do is be able to draw a few gallons, or siphon it. Thanks.
