Obviously an uninstalled price on a high eff single stage condensing furnace with conventional blower. It will need to be vented to usually an outside ext wall either in crawlspace or basement. So who is going to do the install and venting, electrical? Would recommend a filter box on return end. Any AC. All these are factors to be taken into consideration. The obvious ext damage of cabinett should be closely examined. Will any warranty be voided? Is it sized correctly?

At end of day, price may appear better than it actually is.

Look inside carefully and make sure there is no other damage. Check of the top panel can still be taken off easily and it sits securely. It will be very annoying if it rattles.

I would not buy it if it comes with no parts warranty. It is not worth it in my opinion.

I would be swapping this out for an older trane unit 90 series, which has the same box setup, already vented to the outside. Not sure how trane handles scratch and dent from a warranty perspective. Just still on the fence about price, assuming it does come with a warranty

I would want to know the installed price for this damaged furnace along with the answer to warranty.

Thanks, Saltidawg and to others as well. The trane dealer who is selling this stated that he didn't think it was not warrantable. I asked Trane directly and they don't warrant scratch and dent, yet when I asked her how they could tell, she said that would be the "tricky" part. Have to think about this one some more. Could be a lot of risk. The only good thing is that it should be a fairly quick change over as the setup is the same I have now.
