In thinking about this, just so I don't go off half cocked, what exactly are the questions I am trying to get answered. What do you have now and what do you want it to do?

The question is, what might be available in addition to hand-held remotes to control some my equipment. Right now, I have only remotes that are included. I am pretty sure that what ever is available will cost more than I want to install on all of my indoor units, but they might be nice for the bedrooms so I can do a real set back.

I have the impression that the serial numbers makes a difference. It seem like Mitsubishi made changes in the equipment, increasing versatility, even though the model numbers were constant.

Well, the show was great, but none of the mini-split manuf were there. I'll try to contact the fellow who went to work for them
